Producer Shares Vague Fringe Spoilers

Do you remember the animated episode of Fringe, towards the end of Season Three entitled ‘Lysergic Acid Diethylamide’? It was the episode where Peter and Walter Bishop go into Olivia’s mind to save her from being completely overcome by William Bell. It was also the episode where Broyles (brilliantly acted by Lance Reddick) provided the comic relief as he got all kinds of tripped-out on LSD.

But I digress.

You may also recall from that episode the mysterious man in the Zeppelin that came out of nowhere and has never been since, but according to Olivia was the man that is going to kill her.

As far as hanging plot threads go, that one’s a bit of a doozie.

Well, it seems that this and other questions are going to be addressed in this latter half of Season Four. Executive producer J H Wyman, in an interview with TVLine, had this to say:

We ourselves get frustrated with other shows that only ask questions and leave things up in the air and don’t really answer them, so we really take pride in saying, ‘Look our drama is strong enough that we can actually answer the questions.’ Let’s just say that we’re going to try and get you satisfying conclusions for all those things that are up in the air. You’ll learn a lot more about the Observers this year. And yes, you probably will understand a lot about that guy in the zeppelin.

Now reading between the lines here, and being a total paranoid fanboy at the same time, it sounds like even the producers aren’t hopeful for a season renewal and are trying to tie up all the loose ends. I just hope and pray it’s not rushed and is a satisfying conclusion to this fantastically entertaining show.

But I’m still hopeful for a Season Five.

There are no loose ends in the original universe, All that has changed, Fauxlivia's child, evil Walternate, William Bell, and likely the guy supposed to kill Olivia, don't exist after the reboot.
